The latest findings and experiences in science and research are a basic requirement for highest quality products and solutions. A regular exchange of information is decisive for innovations and further developments.

In order to get access to the latest information and findings on the development of products and solutions, Aescusoft works closely together with leading institutions, industry associations and their experts. Moreover Aescusoft has regular information exchanges with other companies with many years of experience in relevant sectors.

Concentrix Solar GmbH

Concentrix Solar was founded in 2005 as a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE). Concentrix Solar develops and manufactures concentrator PV-solar power plants. Thanks to Fresnel lenses the sunlight is concentrated in small, high-efficiency solar cells. These solar cells convert the concentrated light directly into electrical energy. With this technology Concentrix Solar obtains a degree of efficiency which, with 25%, is almost twice as high as with the conventional silicon technology. Thus depending on the location it is possible to achieve a cost reduction potential of 10 to 20%. For the production of the concentrator panels Concentrix Solar uses a fully automatic production line with a yearly production capacity of 25 Megawatt (MWp). Aescusoft supports Concentric Solar with its key technology in the sectors of CVP-Test and Product Quality Control.

Freiburger Materialforschungszentrum FMF

The Materials Research Centre FMF is part of the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg, Germany. Since 1990 the institute organizes subject and faculty comprehensive practical groundwork in the sector of materials research. Its main focus is on new organic and inorganic materials as well as material oriented technology. Prof. Eicke Weber, who also is the leader of the Fraunhofer ISE institute, carries out special research projects at the FMF, in which Aescusoft is involved.

Fraunhofer IPM

The Fraunhofer Institute for Physical Measurement Technology carries out research and development of optical sensors and insulation systems as well as being active in the field of thin-film technology. It develops parts and components for industrial use as well as prototypes and ready-to-use systems in the sectors of Process Measurement Technology, Bioanalysis, Railroad Measurement, Safety Technology, the measurement of geometrical volumes and laser insulation. Fraunhofer IPM is the scientific partner of Aescusoft for the sectors of Electronic Measurement Equipment and Optoelectronics. Together with Fraunhofer IPM Aescusoft has successfully realized numerous projects in the sector of Photovoltaic Measurement Technology.

Fraunhofer ISE

The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE) with its research facilities in Freiburg, Gelsenkirchen (both in Germany) and Boston (USA) is a strategic partner of Aescusoft in the sectors of Renewable Energies and Semiconductors. With more than 800 employees the Fraunhofer Institute is the largest scientific institute for solar energy throughout Europe. The main focus of Fraunhofer range from basic research in the sector of large-scale use of solar energy to the development of new production technologies, prototypes and machines for demonstrative purposes.
In 2005 Aescusoft signed a scientific cooperation agreement with Fraunhofer, which involves joint research projects, experimental plants, prototype development, and the construction of pilot installations.

IOFFE, St. Petersburg

The IOFFE Institute in St. Petersburg is one of the largest Russian institutions for Research and Development in the areas Physics and Applied Technology. Founded in 1918 the institute is named after Abram F. Ioffe, who was for decades chief of the institute. The Ioffe Institute is since many years active and internationally recognized in the sectors of III-V semiconductors and concentrator cells. Thru the alliance with IOFFE Aescusoft maintains international relations and networks.

LASER FACT

LASER FACT is a research network focused on photovoltaic solar energy generation and plant engineering and construction. In this network of leading research institutions and industrial enterprises research of new technologies is conducted with the overall goal of a significant cost reduction in the production of solar cells. The focus is on the further development of laser technology and the adaptation to the production process in the production of solar cells. Together with the companies Centrotherm PV, Solarwatt, Manz-Automation and Sunways, Aescusoft is a member of the LASER FACT association as well as a promoter through the allocation of funds.

Max-Planck-Institut, Halle

The Max-Planck Research Institute, founded in 1992 in Halle, Germany, deals with Microstructural Physics, among other things with semiconductor structures. At the same time they also research thin-film and crystalline materials, the findings of which can be used in sectors such as Thermal Sensor Systems, Optoelectronics and microelectronics.

MST BW

Aescusoft is a member of the association Microsystem Technologies of Baden-Württemberg e.V. (MST BW). The association's main goal is to link both at an international and national level research and industry working in the sectors of miniaturization, microtechnology and mechatronics as well as in the sector of nanotechnology integration.
MST BW is also responsible for the management of the german MicroTEC cluster. As an active member of MST BW Aescusoft is located at the junction of science and industry and thus has direct access to valuable experiences for the further development of its own products and solutions.
