Outdoor Tester

The Oudoor Tester system is used for a comprehensive analysis of the performance, long-term stability and possible deviations of PV panels as well as complete PV installations under real life conditions. Measurements can be conducted with PV modules of any construction and various materials. A test installation comprises 10-20 solar panels. Both a fixed mounting system and a tracker can be used.

A measurement facility is available to measure the nominal operating cell temperature (NOCT) and the electric power at this temperature according to IEC 61215. The nominal operating conditions are defined as follows:

• Irradiance in the module plane: G = 800 W/m²
• Ambient temperature: T = 20°C
• Wind speed v = 1.0 m/s
